My Monthly Faves

Hello fellow book lovers! February was a tough reading month! We had ice storms and loss of power. I also had family sickness and I was out of town for a week. Needless to say reading was a challenge. As with January, I read 14 books, reviewing them all. I read 12 ARC books and 2 I just picked up. Below are my favorite picks of the month.

Favorite ARC Of The Month

I just couldn’t choose between two, so I am declaring a tie. One is a favorite author and one is a new author to me.

Olivia And The Masked Duke by Grace Callaway is my choice from the list of my favorite authors. The writing in this book made it stand out. It was haunting and romantic at the same time. The passion and connection between the couple was electric. I loved the storyline and the characters. Ms. Callaway wrote a stunning novel. Here is the review:

My other favorite was The Heiress Gets A Duke by Harper St. George. Ms. St. George was a new author to me. This is the first book in a two-part series. The description of women and their lack of rights in this era struck a chord in me. The characters were vivid. The storyline kept me riveted. A great start to a two-part series. I can’t wait to read the sister’s book! Here is the review:

Favorite Book Of The Month

This category involves books that were not ARC books. I didn’t get a chance to read many of these this month. My favorite is the first book in an on-going series.

I chose Cocky Earl, the first in the Cocky Gents series by Annabelle Anders. I love book series that are about a group of friends. These gentlemen find love in the most unexpected of places. This book’s heroine was a bluestocking, working woman. Again, a very strong female lead. I am definitely reading the next book in the series. Here is the review:

A Look Ahead

So far I have 8 ARC books this month:

  • The Knot Of A Knight by Linda Rae Sande
  • The Devil In Her Bed by Kerrigan Byrne
  • Lord Satyr by Jade Lee
  • The Heir And The Enchantress by Paulette Golden
  • Embellished In Mauve by Sandra Sookoo
  • The Most Eligible Viscount In London by Ella Quinn
  • Duchess If You Dare by Anabelle Bryant
  • To Win A Highland Scot by Tamara Gill

These are the non ARC books I tentatively plan to read:

  • Lord Lucifer by Jade Lee
  • The Duke And The Enchantress by Paulette Golden
  • Marquess Of Mayhem by Scarlett Scott
  • The Kiss Of A Viscount by Linda Rae Sande

Hopefully March will be a quieter month! I plan to read more books this month than last, without all my February obstacles! I should be able to do it. I am getting approved for more and more ARC reviews, which is exciting. Thank you for supporting my blog. Please tell your friends about me if you like my blog, it really helps me. Thanks for visiting, I love to hear thoughts and comments about my picks. Until next time, stay safe, be kind, and keep reading!
