Cocky Brother by Annabelle Anders

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A novella packed full of passion and romance!  To be such a short story, this novella contained a powerful presence.  This is a story of two souls lost in different ways but find completion in each other—a book about a talented musician and a merry widow who finds fulfillment.

I loved how Miranda is hauntingly broken.  Her self-loathing and low self-worth is heartbreaking.  I felt Peter’s passion for his music.  His connection to the cello is depicted perfectly.  I love how his passion for music overflows into other aspects of his life.  The connection between the two is all-consuming.  Coupled with that is a breathtaking romance.

Being so short, the plot had to move super fast.  However, this did not take away from the story.  So much plot was packed into the novella.  I was fascinated from page one.  The actions were intricate and intimate.  The move and feel of the love story were genuine, not forced.

I have read other books in this beautiful series, and this was an enticing addition.  It was a nice break from debutantes and rakes.  Ms. Anders has a knack for making you care for these characters. A delightful way to spend a couple of hours!

I received a gifted copy of this book by the author.  This is my honest, voluntary opinion.

Cocky Brother is the fourth book in the Regency Cocky Gents series. This series follows a group of gentlemen as they each fall prey to love. The men have a close comraderie which is infectious. The stories are vibrant and engrossing. I get lost in the pages! I love this series!
