Hello, fellow romance lovers! I can’t believe it is October already. I love the colorful leaves and, of course, Halloween! I have a list of all-time favorite scary movies I watch all month. It is so much fun! Here in Kentucky, we get all the seasons, and I always look forward to fall. Another reason I love this time of year – Christmas Collections start being released. I adore reading collections of Christmas novellas. I have already read a few, and I loved them. For October, I am featuring an overview of my September reviews and features. After that, I will showcase what is coming up for October. All my book reviews for September can easily be viewed by clicking on the book title. Books are organized by release date. Without further ado…here we go!
I read and reviewed twenty books in September. The rating stats are thirteen five-star reviews, one four and a half star review, five four-star reviews, and one two and a half star review. I also had one DNF book (I did not finish) due to disturbing content, and I did not review this book. This book was His Rival’s Daughter. I didn’t have any humorous books. However, the writing, on the whole, exceeded all my expectations. I discovered new authors to put on my TBR list from the Christmas Collections I read. Below is my book list and a link to each book’s review. Books are listed by publication date.

September Book Of The Month
I have chosen The Brazen Bluestocking by Tracy Sumner for my September book of the month. This is the first book (there is also a prequel) in The Duchess Society series by Tracy Sumner. For those of you who have been with me on this blog journey, you know there are several themes and types of characters that I absolutely adore. One of those is the lord of the underworld type. The self-made man that comes from nothing (very often an illegitimate son of an aristocrat) and builds himself a monetary empire either legally or illegally but most times a mixture of both! This type is always ruthless in business and insatiable when it comes to passion. These guys fall hard and fast in love and fight it every step of the way. Tobias Streeter is the epitome of the man of my dreams! He is everything I described and more. The only thing that made Tobias better was the heroine, Lady Hildegard Templeton. Hildy is fierce and brilliant, the perfect match for Tobias. The couple’s scenes together ignite the page; I feel this is true even when they are just having a conversation. Tracy Sumner has created characters that jump off the page and writes a story that will keep you reading far into the night! The dialogue is captivating, and each scene is sensually magical. This was an easy choice for book of the month.
So far, I have eleven advance copies from various authors and publishers. As of now, I am not anticipating any long-awaited releases. I see a lot of Halloween and Christmas-centered collections, and I love those! I have a few novels pending approval on Netgalley, and I have been approved for a couple more authors to receive advance copies of their books. I have recently found a plethora of new authors, which always gets me excited! I hope to slow down a little; I have quite the TBR pile of books awaiting me! The titles are listed by release date, and the blog feature date is listed at the end.
