A Snowstorm Serenade For Lady Sarah by Katherine Ann Madison and Maggie Dallen

As husband-hunting house parties go, this one is excellent!  The characters are vivid, and the Christmas theme gives a festive feel.  The authors have created a magical world full of romance.

Sarah and her sisters have made a pact to secure marriage proposals at their aunt’s Christmas party to help their brother.  Sarah is an intelligent, independent woman who hides behind those qualities, afraid to embrace her attractiveness as she feels it would make her lesser.  Jake, Viscount of Spalding, is heartbroken and in financial straights.  Jake seems a rake and a drunkard, but underneath that, there is a caring, thoughtful man that helps Sarah come out of her shell.  Both Jake and Sarah are more than what they show the world; under those facades are passionate, intelligent, lonely people looking for an intimate connection that allows them to blossom and grow.

The couple is endearing and brings out the best in each other.  This plot of enemies to friends is lovingly written with a dramatic flair.  The Christmas festivities in the background gave fun and spontaneity.  The story is full of sweet, tender moments, and the pace is quick and kept  my attention.  A Snowstorm Serenade For Lady Sarah is the second book in the Seasons Of Love series.  This novel is a beautiful tale of the striking power of innocent, blossoming love.  These books are perfect for those who love sweet, easy-to-read, well-developed love stories.  A romantic treat!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book through the author.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.
