⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A Dangerous Secret is a novel with mystery, tragedy, passion, and a heart-wrenching happily-ever-after. Ronan Hawke is the shell of the man he was once. Having to bury his wife and infant daughter four years ago after a fire, he is gutted and destroyed. Ronan’s pain is visceral. Lady Sophia Green lives with her parents and four-year-old daughter. Sophia has no recollection of the year before a terrible accident took her memories. Sophia suspects something is off, and this is confirmed when she accidentally runs into Ronan, who claims she is his wife. Ronan and Sophia’s journey to a second chance at love is haunting and passionate. Sophia’s calm and intelligence shine through her mistrust and confusion. Both Ronan and Sophia are vivid, elemental characters.
Ronan and Sophia’s connection is potent, even after a tragedy rips them apart. The couple’s passion is fiery. The couple has a soul-deep and irrevocable bond. Ronan and Sophia’s love story has tragedy, yet there is no doubt that they belong together. The couple’s journey resonated with me, and I will not forget it soon.
The plot explored a gambit of emotions. The entire story is a rollercoaster of a romance. The action moved rapidly and kept my attention. A good amount of the story is flashbacks, but this method worked well. It allowed the reader to be introduced to Ronan and Sophia organically. A Dangerous Secret is the sixth book in the Bow Street Brides series. Jillian Eaton has created a powerful love story full of intrigue, hope, and passion.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book through the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
