⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lady Abigail and the Marquess Of Hartwell, or “Hart,” are complete opposites. Abigail’s sunny disposition is at odds with Hart’s surliness. However, when Hart’s sister asks him for a favor for Abigail, sparks fly. These two opposites crash into a passionate romance.
Abigail is everything sweet and kind. I enjoyed how Abigail’s story unfolded. Abigail follows all the rules and feels constrained and repressed. All Abigail wants to do is be comfortable in her skin and maybe make mischief.
Hart is surly. Hart is a rake and a reprobate; he owns a gaming hell. Hart feels he is beyond redemption. I loved watching Hart’s journey from being lost and lonely to having purpose and learning to love and be loved.
Hart and Abigail’s connection is special. For Abigail it is love at first sight. Hart fights his attraction; but the pull towards Abigail is too strong. Abigail brings Hart out of the darkness; and that is beautiful to read.
This book flew. The plot was sweetly passionate with just enough intrigue to keep things interesting. It was steamy yet those scenes were lovingly tender. Marquess of Diamonds is the seventeenth book in the Lords Of Scandal series. I had been waiting on Hart’s story; I love him – he is so grumpy! Above everything else, this book warmed my heart and made me smile.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book through the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
