The Playboy Peer is yet another delightful, scorching hot romance from Scarlett Scott! Lady Isolde Collingwood has been jilted and is heartbroken. Zachary Barlowe, a third son, is now the Earl Of Anglesey. After accidentally compromising Izzy, Zachary has no choice but to enter the state he swore he never would – marriage.
Poor Izzy is heartbroken; her self-confidence is broken. Izzy doesn’t trust her own emotions. I loved Izzy’s vulnerability. Izzy builds walls around her heart that will take hard work and patience for a man to break down. Zachary lives wildly and selfishly. Zachary also has a turbulent past when it comes to love. The two must learn to trust each other, not just with their bodies but with their hearts.
This is one of the steamier books. The connection between Zachary and Izzy is pure fire. The physicality and sensuality of each scene are magic. I cheered for Zachary and Izzy’s romance – they are ideally suited for each other.
There was plenty of content in this swiftly moving plot. I especially enjoyed the section between Izzy being compromised and the wedding where the couple gets to know each other. The dialogue during the couple’s interactions was delicious! The Playboy Peer is the second book in the Unexpected Lords series. I could not put this book down. Scarlett Scott is one of my favorite authors, and she has outdone herself! Zachary and Izzy’s romance is a sexy, wild adventure – a golden star in the Scarlett Scott universe!
