Tammy Andresen always delivers a quick, romantic, fun read in her Lords Of Scandal series. Queen Of Hearts is yet another jewel in the series. I have been waiting to read Arabella’s story, and I loved it!
Edge has inherited a broke earldom and needs to marry an heiress quickly. Arabella is part owner in a gaming hell; she is independent, intelligent, and wary when it comes to titled lords. I enjoyed how Edge wasn’t the one-dimensional fortune hunter villain. Edge hates that he has to marry for money, but he has dependents who need him. Under Arabella’s fierceness are a vulnerability and enormous capacity to love that she keeps hidden. Both characters stole my heart; they had depth and personality.
This is another quick, easy read. The plot reads fast and is entertaining. I read this in a couple of hours. Even though short, this has an involved plot and interesting characters. In a universe of men owning businesses, having Arabella as the part-owner was refreshing. Queen Of Hearts is the eighteenth book in the Lords Of Scandal series. These books are fun to read and never disappoint!
