Never Beguile A Bodyguard is the first book in the new series Fortune’s Brides: Guarding The Heart by Regina Scott. This is a sweet, entertaining, easy-to-read romance. Finn Huber was a royal bodyguard that has retired and is at loose ends. Abigail Winchester is running away from a family scandal. Both find themselves under the care of Lady Belfort and her cat, Fortune (who stole every scene she was in!). Lady Belfort promises to help the two find positions. However, there might be some matchmaking involved too.
This was a cute, light, enjoyable read. The plot was engaging, and the characters were lovable. The romance that blooms between Finn and Abigail is heartwarming. Regina Scott has again written a romance that entertains and intrigues. Never Beguile A Bodyguard is a fantastic way to begin a new series!
