⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
The Vagabond Viscount is the twelfth book in The Duke Of Strathmore by Sasha Cottman. I look forward to every Duke Of Strathmore book, and I was incredibly excited to read Flynn and Augusta’s romantic journey. I became fascinated with Flynn in Tempted By The English Marquis. Flynn is penniless and cruelly abused by his monster of a father. Flynn is in limbo, not knowing how to win the hand of the woman he loves while his dastardly father controls his life. Lady Augusta Kemball is madly in love with her brother’s best friend, Flynn. But she fears heartache as Flynn can’t get from under his father’s clutches.
Oh, Flynn! My heart ached for Flynn! Sometimes I wanted to yell at him, and other times I wanted to hug him! I don’t think I’ll ever understand his thought process at times throughout the book. However, I was endeared to this unfortunate man who could not catch a break! I admired Flynn’s ability to keep his integrity and spirit even in the most tragic and dangerous situations.
Augusta has a heart of gold! I viscerally felt her frustration and longing. I loved how hard Augusta fought for Flynn. Augusta did get discouraged but never gave up hope; I admire Augusta’s grit, determination, and tenacity.
The couple’s physical connection is both sweetly romantic and hauntingly passionate. Through every trial the couple is put through, their love grows stronger. These star-crossed lovers sometimes broke my heart and, at other times, enchanted me.
This story takes place during the same period as the last book but from Flynn and Augusta’s point of view. I felt the author did an excellent job keeping the story fresh and exciting even though we knew some of the plot points from the previous book. Flynn and Augusta took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions! I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a couple’s happily ever after as severely as I did Flynn and Augusta. The conclusion ended just as brilliantly as the book began, with many truths coming to light and proof that love can conquer all. Sasha Cottman keeps knocking these books out of the park! I love the Duke Of Strathmore series and wholeheartedly endorse the entire series. The Vagabond Viscount was enthralling, drawing me in and never letting go!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book through the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
