Scandals Of Tokyo by Heather Hallman

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Scandals Of Tokyo is the prequel to the Tokyo Whispers series by Heather Hallman.  This is a short introduction to the series, a quick hour read.  I love how the author has set us up to look forward to the first book.  This book introduces us to Ned Taylor, the owner of the Tokyo Daily News, and Evelyn Prescott, the daughter of an owner of a newspaper empire.  Evelyn is determined to find a scandal to catapult her to be an international journalist.  Neither Ned nor Evelyn expects a passionate connection on their first meeting.

A good prequel lays an intriguing stage for a series.  This prequel does precisely that.  It introduces an eye-catching world and secondary characters that I want to read their stories.  The writing is captivating for such a short book.  I am eager to read Talk Of Tokyo.  Heather Hallman created a tempting, intoxicating, and engaging world that made me want more.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a gifted copy of this book through the author.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.
