The Hate Date is a novel by Kaylene Winter. I have read and enjoyed other books by Kaylene Winter. However, The Hate Date took this author to another level of excellence. I loved this unique plot – I’m not going to give any description – it is too good not to allow it to unfold organically! I want you to fall in love with JJ and Clover and their unforgettable journey. Clover has risen above so much heartbreak and betrayal. I loved how Clover decided to take care of her well-being first. Clover is skittish and unsure of herself with JJ, but I could feel her courage and grit. JJ has fought for everything he has and is extremely successful. What JJ wants, JJ gets. However, closing the deal with Clover will take all his ingenuity, patience, and willpower. I loved the concept of the “hate date.” It was so romantic how JJ wouldn’t give up on Clover, even when he was over the top and highhanded.
That first elevator scene! Wow! The couple’s sensual, sexual connection was among the most powerful I’ve read. This is an oh-so-steamy, passionate, emotionally raw romance. I loved JJ and Clover’s innate, uncontrollable sensual energy. The couple burned the page, yet the author was able to create two larger-than-life, lovable, relatable characters.
The Hate Date is an original, eye-catching, unique contemporary romance I didn’t want to end. I loved the push and pull between the characters and the depth of emotion JJ and Clover conveyed. Kaylene Winter has created an eye-popping, addicting romance!
